Conference Information

Bridge Builders® is a two (2) year program spanning the junior and senior years of high school.  Students are selected based on:

• Leadership Potential
• Academic Ability
• Cultural Open-mindedness
• Community Involvement

Junior Leadership Conference

Participation in a one-week residential Junior Leadership Conference, the summer prior to a student's Junior year, is mandatory.  There are nine primary focus areas.  The areas are:

• public speaking
• civic responsibility
• critical thinking
• trust
• problem solving
• communication
• conflict resolution
• human relations
• leadership

We provide student activities, discussions and events to build skills, knowledge and attitudes.  A student is not technically a Bridge Builders® participant until he or she has completed the week and has been inducted into the program at the Induction Ceremony.  The Induction Ceremony is held the final evening of the summer conference, and all families are encouraged to attend.
