President Bill Clinton spoke of a “bridge to the 21st Century.” Simon and Garfunkel sang of a “bridge over troubled waters.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke of “bridging the gap” between people of different races. Throughout history, bridges have been symbols of connection between people and of transition from one stage of life to another.
What about your own bridges? How can you span the distance between the person you are and the erson you have the potential to become? How will you bridge the gap between you and the many different types of people in our diverse society? How will you acquire the skill and knowledge you need to carry you over the obstacles of life?
That’s what Bridge Builders® is all about. In an increasingly multi-cultural society, we help young people meet other young people who come from different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. In a world that is connected by global telecommunications and economies, we help young people understand the rich tapestry of the international community. In a world that is increasingly complex, we help young adults discover their own place.
Bridge Builders® is a two (2) year program spanning the junior and senior years of high school. Students are selected based on:
